The Association of Indian Zoo and Wildlife Veterinarians (AIZWV) was started as a pioneering effort the late (Dr). B.M. Arora, who, in his illustrious career as a teacher, author, and wildlife veterinarian, carried out path-breaking work. As we take responsibility of the association we do so with humility and a deep sense of responsibility. The association has a large body of work which we now intend to carry forward and build on. We are delighted to embark on this journey of dedication, collaboration, and commitment to wildlife and zoo animal health management across India.

The association’s history is rooted in a shared vision of fostering excellence in veterinary care for wildlife and strengthening the network of professionals working tirelessly for the well-being of animals in zoos and in the wild. This platform is for a community united its passion for wildlife and a commitment to scientific innovation, ethical practices, and capacity building.

We recognize the critical role that wildlife veterinarians play in today’s rapidly changing world and the need for a robust forum that enables veterinarians to share knowledge and discuss challenges.
